Lace has been on the scene for many a season and is still making comebacks on the catwalks. Spring/Summer 2012 has been no different as lace showed its face again in practically every designer's collection! You have to admit, there is something undeniablely feminine about lace and you have to admit there are not many other fabrics that succeed in being so sexy but so suitable at the same time and whether you've got a day at the office or a date with your friends, lace will never fail you!
The catwalks were covered in lace for the upcoming SS/12 we have ahead. First of all, Alexander McQueen did not dissappoint and provided a beautifully made collection incorporating lace to add that feminine feeling.

Jonathan Saunders decided that bright was beautiful; lighting up his catwalk with all kinds of different colours whilst still managing to incorporate the fail safe black and white!

Louis Viutton and Valentino also put lace in their collections, going ultra feminine and producing beautiful lace dresses and tops in feminine colours.

Of course lace would not be making these re-appearances if it wasn't selling and it is being pulled off the rails by celebrities all over the globe. Lace has proven to be a firm favourite with our very own Kate Middleton aka The Duchess of Cambridge, who on her trip to Canada in the summer chose an elegant Erdem number to attend all her Royal engagements in.

Kate is not alone however, as Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow and Anne Hathaway have all opted for Lace for numerous red carpet events.

However, maybe you are sitting reading this thinking, that whilst you love lace, but dresses just aren't your thing. Well, I believe I have the solution for you; lace trousers! They may sound a little odd, but high street store Zara have created the perfect pair (pictured below), guaranteed to keep those of us who are not so girly, feeling feminine but comfortable at the same time.
